Dorothy's Dollhouses
Dorothy's Dollhouses were on display in the lobby of the hospital at Roswell Park Cancer
Institute during the annual Tree of Hope celebration in December 2012.
After the celebration, they were raffled off to benefit cancer patients. Dorothy created the dollhouse from a kit and she furnished it over the course of 30 years, making many items by hand, including the needlepoint rugs, the bedspreads, and the leather "fainting couch" in the upstairs den. Portraits of family members are displayed throughout the house, including one of Dorothy's father in his World War I Army uniform.
Dorothy built the log cabin in 2006, when she was 86 years old. She sawed the "logs" by hand, stained them, and built the furniture. She also embroidered the pillows and bedspreads. The black stenciled chest in the loft is a miniature version of a larger one that she made for her own home.
Dorothy was a creative, talented, and generous person. She died Dec. 3, 2012.

Michael Garman Gallery ~Magic Town
Magic Town is located in the heart of Old Colorado City, The Michael Garman Museum and Gallery also houses Michael Garman’s unique 3,000 square-foot sculptural theater—Magic Town. This miniature city, built at 1:6th scale, depicts the gritty neighborhoods of Michael Garman’s past—when he lived as a self-described vagabond, hitchhiking from town to town. Magic Town combines hundreds of original characters with intricately detailed buildings—brownstones, missions, back alleys and hotels.
